Andre Wiltenburg grew up in the Netherlands. He moved to the United States more than 20 years ago, in search of adventure and new opportunities. He discovered rock climbing while he was living in Florida, and was immediately hooked. He knew he wanted to share this passion with others, so when he moved to New Mexico in 2003, he was excited to take over the small, but struggling, climbing gym on Early Street. After doubling in size and outgrowing the space, he was able to purchase the much larger current building and remodel it to what you see today. Andre has always aimed for the gym to be a place of inclusion, community, and pushing one’s own boundaries.When not at the gym, Andre’s life is very family focused. He is married, and has three children. He immensely values spending time with them, especially in nature, and creating a life full of adventure!
