Introduction to Hangboard Training

Aug 15th 7:00 – 8:30pm / 24th 6:30 – 8:00pm – $60

In this introduction to hangboard training clinic, we’ll cover everything from the foundations of hangboarding training, injury prevention, and various grips to hangboard protocols for tissue capacity, endurance, and strength, how to warm up, and how to structure your training routine. This is a hands-on clinic (no pun intended), so come prepared to hangboard! Previous hangboard training experience is not required, but you must be free of injury and ideally you’ll have a few years of climbing under your belt.

Advanced Hangboard Training

Aug 17th 7:00 – 8:30pm / 22nd 6:30 – 8:00pm – $75

In this clinic we’ll briefly review the hangboard training basics covered in the introduction clinic, then we’ll dive into a finger strength assessment, advanced hangboard training protocols (maximum strength and rate of force development), how to train fingers in isolation, when and how to transition from two-arm hangs to one-arm hangs, and how to structure your training. This clinic is designed for those with a significant hangboard training history.
